equipment for the real trailer

I have used the camera, Cannon EOS 450D. The reason being, that this camera is my own, moreover the detailing within the shots is incredibly good. It also both records and takes picture, both in which I want for my trailer.

This camera also has a changeable lens, therefore I can differentiate between the lens I want, for example for a close up shot of the props, I may want a macro lens  And when recording the moving shots I can use a 100mm lens or wide angle lens.

Here is a picture of my camera and my equipment.

I have also chosen to use a mono pod for the on sight filming. As this is very easy to carry, moreover it is compact and light weight, compared to a tripod. And it also produces shots just as still.

Here is the mono pod:
Here is the Camera bag for my camera:

Here is the canvas bag to carry the gas mask, and prevent damge:

And here is an image of the camera I have used.

Here is all the equipment I got with the camera initially:

And here is a review of the camera in HD movie mode:

Getting ready to film my REAL media trailer

To help the cast on sight of filming, and prior to filming I have created some shot lists with description of what they do and the order they do them in.

Here is a screen shot of me making them.

I have also created A time table for the cast so they know where they need to be and what time, it also requires them to sign In and out, before and after shooting has take place.

The image above is the timetable, and this is what I gave my actors and actresses. So they could plan things around these dates and times.

possible music for the actual trailer:

I think I will compose my own piano music, or use some subtle music to contrast with the dramatic
scene. However I must have some scary and dramatic sound effects.

These are examples of the subtle music I would like to contrast with my atmosphere, and possibly add loud music with this. I also will have to ask permission from the producing company, to make this legal.

audience research

I have created this audience research poster/ leaflet to allow my audience to tell me if my trailer fits the correct conventions, and I have received the correct response.

From sending these questionnaires out to people who have watched my trailer, I have established that the genre of the film psychological thriller, is apparant. And people actually found this trailer quiet creepy.

Here are two example of the research sheet that i actually received back:

From this research of how relevant my trailer is to the genre, it has been proved to be a good step in getting my trailer more suited to a psychological thriller.

There is a clear recurring theme of my trailer being 'creepy'. And the graveyard clearly encourages this theme as the comments above show this, 'graveyard made it even more creepy'.

Also the factor that one person commented 'Could not take my eyes away', shows again how successful my media product is.

I have also made a Facebook page, in which I have established similar responses.

Just so things are replace....

This is both for my own use, and the actors.
I have used this to show the cost of the props I have bought, however this also shows the trust I must have between myself and the actors. As I have used my own money to buy the props for this trailer, and If they where to be broken or mishandled, I would know from this who has broken it. As I know who is on when using each prop.
