creating my own take on an EMPIRE magazine title for my magazine

I have picked  various textures online, to add to my title of my magazine, to give it that unique aspect just as within my style model 'Empire'.

 

To add these to my title I have highlighted the solid format of the text box 'LEGACY', using the quick selection brush. I have then cut the image out by changing the layer, placing the texture on top and then cutting the texture out and deleting the excess.
