Changing the narrative for my trailer.

Unfortunately, due to the genre of the film In which I have chosen, and the major theme of horror, I have had to down grade my narrative.

After contacting many churches, I was unable to find a location which would let my film my trailer. Due to this I have decided to still include a church within my film, however I will have to incorporate it into the background of my film setting instead. Moreover this actually enhances the main setting of a graveyard, which was my first idea to begin with.

The costume within my trailer has also had to change now, therefore to make it more suitable for the genre I am going for. So instead of a priest I will use a psychiatrist which will act as the secondary character within my film. It will also result in the feel of isolation in which I originally wanted to go for, as this character will ask questions towards the main character frank.

The character of 'IT' played by actor, Anna Lowe, will still be maintained within my film, however she will be wearing a gas mask as a prop rather than have her hair in her face and blood. She will also be wearing a vintage style piece of clothing, which I have purchased from a local charity shop. ( This inspiration for donating money in exchange for props, was actually inspired by the TV soap, coronation street, as they do the same thing for props, or at least the majority of them.)

Here is my new narrative:

I have created the character Frank. Frank is a post-modern person, who entails modern thoughts. He constantly questions his reality, and due to this internal mindset, he is forced to relieve his thoughts externally to a professional.

The secondary character for my film, is a Dr who is a female, there is no physical attributes presented by this character, as she is only there to produce relieve Frank of his thoughts, and make him reveal them to the viewer.

The third character to my film, is IT. IT is a female, who is internally held/ suppressed within Franks mind, she irritates him in his dreams and turns them into a modern nightmare.

Narrative. Plot. Story.

This film begins with the introduction of the person Frank. Gradually there is the slow introduction into how he has been having dreams which turn to nightmares, and each nightmare entails the thrilling character IT. Who forces him to believe he is a modern person, with a post-modern body.

From the increasing amounts of nightmares, suggesting more and more of a historic persona, Frank gradually turns crazy, and influences his own dress, and persona to become this other modern person.

However from attending a psychiatrist, this doctor researches where this modern persona has come from, and reveals that there is actually a person with the same name as Frank, however they died long ago in a nuclear war.

Frank therefore has to gradually work his way through the nightmares and find what 'IT', wants from him.

Obviously all this narrative will not be able to be made apparent from this one trailer, so I will only include the inclusive, suspense and action filled bits of the films narrative, to engage the viewer to watch it, and go on to buy the film or cinema ticket.
